History of Sanskrit Pathshala Mahavidyalaya (S.P.Degree College)
It was a blessing that the recognition for
Intermediate (Arts) was granted on December 28, 1977 in the campus
of the new building. Till 1990 during the tenure of Late Sri Vishnu
Saran Ji a great deal of progress took place. Ground and first floors of
the building were constructed. With the passage of time enrollment of
girls also kept on increasing. Keeping in view the need for higher education of girls at that time,
the managing committee took the decision to open degree classes in the
college. Mr. Ram Kumar Agarwal, then manager invited the Ex. Principal
of Mahila Degree College, Lucknow, Dr. Manorama Tiwari (M.A., Ph.D.
D. Lit), to take the responsibility for the development of degree classes.
The U.P. Govt. and the University of Lucknow granted the recognition
for degree classes in B.A. and B.com. Since the year 2000 S.P. Degree
College has earned a good name in the field of education and effective
teaching.
